Eclectic Splash

Posted on

This past weekend there was a giant pool party called “Splash House” in Palm Springs. I wasn’t able to go, but the pictures looked like a blast. Fun pool floats, summer cocktails, striped bikinis, live DJ’s—all with beautiful Palm Springs in the background! Sounds like a dream, right? Our next filter is inspired by an eclectic pool party. Think Paul Thomas Anderson’s “Boogie Nights” meets The Ace Hotel in Palm Springs. Cool, collected, and eclectic. This is Eclectic Splash.

To me, this filter has some ’70s style vibes, which I love. Like this orange velvet couch. I love that you can pair this with something more unique—perhaps a multi-colored Moroccan shag rug? We are talking eclectic here. For the walls, I love a piece of artwork that really draws attention: maybe a Slim Aaron’s photograph from the ’70s or an Andy Warhol print of Elizabeth Taylor. The choice is up to you, just make sure it has a little funk!
