So if you couldn’t tell by now, I love interior design. Which seemingly explains my obsession with HGTV. Watching Chip and Joanna Gaines redesign dozens of french country homes on a lazy Sunday is my idea of heaven. Back in the day, following the launch of my first company (Zoom Interiors) my partners and I would design in a similar fashion. We’d personally visit client’s homes and would build installations. We’d paint, assemble and install every piece of furniture ourselves— it was our version of a ‘home makeover show’.

Since then, we have moved on from the traditional practices of design, and have discovered a way to bring the stylings of our favorite designers right into your living room, in the matter of minutes (for real).

Farmhouse is the the home that I imagine i’d build in Texas, if I were ever to decide to go french country.  Farmhouse makes me want to wake up early on a Sunday morning and read a book on a wrap-around white porch, It’s the perfect style if you’re looking for comfort. The rooms are filled with natural pastel colors, plaid prints, and farm animals (just to keep you company).

I also happen to be obsessed with refinished white wood; it is such a refreshing departure from the modern aesthetic of the city. I can definitely imagine myself snuggling up at night next to the fire with my favorite book on a oversized, brown leather couch, and just letting all my worries disappear.

Sounds dreamy.
